Buying a car in Spain

Does anyone know...

Buying a car in Spain

Postby Raymond » Sat Mar 26, 2011 1:20 am

Hi
I am looking to purchase a used car in Spain.
Have any fellow members of the forum any comments (within the boundaries of any libel laws) as to where they have purchased a used vehicle and their views on the overall experience.
It seems difficult to get access to any main/franchised dealer web sites as to what is available locally.
As an example, from previous visits to Algorfa I noticed 3 Citroen dealers (Almoradi, Benijofar, Torrevieja) but I can not get any details on the web of what cars they might have currently for sale.
Any advice on this subject would be gratefully appreciated.
For others who may be interested in this topic below are links to dealer web sites that I have looked at;
http://www.globalcarcentre.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.autosdirect.es/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.fwreurocars.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.venuscars.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.costacars.es/default.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Thanks
Ray

I can only speak for the Ford garage in Bigastro (Framon) they are so helpful and we are very pleased with our car off them

I was in your situation about a year ago, these are my personal experiences.

I eventually purchased a car from Autos Direct in Formentera, I can totally recommend their sales and after sales service. Speak to Graham Jewers on 966 792 441, I am sure that he will be happy to help you.

The sales service at Venus Cars seems to be ok, they just did not have what I was looking for. Global Cars seems to have gone to the dogs, I found their sales staff totally uninterested and not committed in any way.

Have you tried Grupo Corleone ( on the La Siesta roundabout - going towards Torrevieja)? They seem to have plenty of stock, cannot comment further as it was not there when I was looking.
